And it all depends upon what the last gravel monkey put in for a fuel pump. I've seen 16V fuel pumps installed in 8V cars, and they don't work like the posting author mentioned as they cannot keep fuel pressure to the control unit. You have to have something like 64psi pressure to run the mechanical injectors.

Is the car a turbo or non turbo?
