Pay particular attention to the suspension mounting points Posted by Bill Homer [Email] (#3427) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Bill Homer) on Tue, 28 Feb 2017 17:42:26 In Reply to: At what point has rust made my car unsafe?, CBS [Profile/Gallery] , Tue, 28 Feb 2017 15:40:33 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
While 135K is very young by C900 standards, 29 years in the rust belt is not. If the suspension mounting points are included in what you are calling the "unibody frame on the passenger side [is completely gone]", then the car is on borrowed time.
My brother drove my former C900 to a junkyard in Ohio with something like 275 - 300K on it (didn't repair the odometer after the second time it broke); ran fine but started to have severe rusting issues.
