It's been a few years (pre-smartphone - no pics). IIRC, the oil cooler is accessible by removing the bumper (on '88 and later, remove the 2 cap screws holding the bumper on (6-mm hex wrenches accessible from underneath) and remove the left headlight.
Oh, yeah, the air filter and the intercooler have to come out, too.
You'll see the hoses. Be careful to not cut into the steel line when you cut the crimped ferrels. When you get them cut enough, you can turn them with a wrench and start cutting the other side. Then you can open up the cuts on the ferrels with big-A screwdriver, and just fatigue them till they fall off.
To remove the other end of the hose to access the ferrels, you'll want to get a 16-mm crowfoot wrench to loosen the lines from the oil filter pad. Then just cut the ferrels off as before.
Instead of using crimped ferrels to put it all back together, just use a pair of fuel line hose clamps on each end of each line.
Make sure to have enough length of hose so there's no tension where they go past the intercooler.
