This has rapidly become one of the worst parts of this whole job. I have removed all the turbo intercooler lines, and still can't "convince" the plastic clutch cover back on.
I have successfully severed the wire to the temp sender, and caused all sorts of unknown damage to all the other wires on that section of the harness (just unimportant stuff like the APC solenoid, hall effect sensor, and so on)..
My next step is going to be removing the fans, then after that I'm going to have to drop all the coolant and oil I have just put in the car to move any more lines out of the way. Is there some origami secret to this job?
I can get it wedged about two inches away from its intended location, but that's with the bottom flared out abound the entire slave cylinder housing, and the top smashed against the oil line to the turbo and the end of that weird steel core vacuum line that runs under the intake manifold. Arrgh!
