Hibernation eh? Sounds like your clutch is stuck pushed in, probably due to a slave cylinder that finally decided to give up the ghost. Its seals got gummy and gooey from sitting around with old fluid, and then its piston failed to slide back in when you released the clutch because it got stuck on the gooey seals. Luckily you'll be able to get the clutch spacer tool in the pressure plate to remove the clutch (pressure plate, slave, and disc) to change or rebuild the slave cylinder. On a select few very early 900 and 99 cars, you can even get the cylinder out without removing the pressure plate (but you still need the spacer tool in the pressure plate).
