Fuel pump and relay symptoms? Posted by Jawerdna [Email] (#2022) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Jawerdna) on Sun, 16 Apr 2017 13:18:10 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
My 86 SPG has been exhibiting what I think is a fuel-related problem as I've replaced nearly every other thing over the last year. I'll be driving along normally for about 20-30 minutes and I then I'll begin to feel hesitation as if someone pinched off the fuel line for a brief second. About 10 minutes later the car barely goes. It begins to shake and putter until it eventually dies. I have to keep the RPMs quite high to even get it over to the side of the road.
Am I experiencing fuel pump and/or relay failure? I've heard the relays can be pretty low quality. Any ideas?
Here's What related components have been replaced/fixed:
Air Mas Meter - injection labs rebuild
Fuel pressure regulator
Cleaned all grounds
Distributor
Distributor cap & rotor
Plugs
Wires
Alternator
Thanks for any input...
