Here today it is approaching 90 degrees on the thermometer, and I believe heat has a part to play in exposing this chink in the armor. The car has now sat for an hour as I researched the problem and posted on the forum here. After cooling a bit, the problem has resumed showing the symptoms it did prior, which was to illuminate the antilock light and brake fluid light for a moment while the pump regenerates system pressure.
I'm sure I need an accumulator. I might need something else too. I'm not sure if both the antilock light and brake fluid light coming on at the same time indicates anything special. Maybe I should replace the line that feeds the pump from the reservoir. It's getting on in years now. That the heat of the day seems to affect it makes for a puzzler.
Anyhow, thanks to anyone who gives part of their day pondering on and responding to my recent challenges.
