Hi, to answer your question, no, I have no spare ECU (LH controller?). However, I've come around to assuming it's an ignition problem. I'm now trying to read the codes from the controller...
Backstory is the Check Engine light was on for a while, and I suspect I've got a logged fault. (since you asked, I'm in the midst of looking for a new mechanic, so since she was still running, I just ignored the light...)
Problem is, the pinout of the diagnostic connector doesn't seem to match Bentley, in number, or wire color, so I don't want to just probe around and not get the codes. I know it works as I've seen it used.
This is what I got:
pin 1 - green
pin 4 - Green/White
pin 5 - Gray
pin 8 - black
pin 10 - white
This is what Bentley says I have:
Pin 1 - Blue/White - from pin 12 of LH controller
Pin 2 - Gray/White - from pin 16 of LH controller
Pin 9 - Red - battery
Pin 10 - Black (gnd)
