This is really good... You're doing a far better summary of what I do every two years when I prepare to get my '87 turbo through California smog. I too have assembled a collection of cut-and-paste notes from the archives but this is the clearest of any I've seen. There's some slight repetition up in the early part of the text, that's my only comment.
And pictures might help - if you need 'em I can rig up my meter and snap some shots of the two methods.
And oddly, my recent California smog concluded in grand success. I was referred to Kevin Farrell at Injection Labs in Colorado last year from a Saabnet member. Kevin's analysis and comprehension of these AMMs is vast and he rebuilt one failing AMM from my collection of failed AMMs and the thing performed like a dream. Even before the test, without even checking voltages and oxygen-sensor response, I knew the car was doing much better because it was starting to perform like the classic Saab turbo from days of yore. The car sailed through the check numbers far far below the limits.
So thanks Notnoel, my rough and primitive version pales in comparison to what you're assembling here. And I too looked for a LH 2.2 adjustment procedure in the FAQs section. Currently doesn't exist and it's a good idea; this should be there.
