Again, I wouldn't get hung up on the backspace because c900s have room inboard, less so outboard. The offset on the Aero/Super Aero combined with overall width move the wheels really far outboard, and that creates rubbing on the rear fenders. You can remediate this with yet-smaller tires, but IME it's all the extra weight in the back of a convertible means even more chance of interference. Stiffer springs (or air bags) would help, but further decrease ride quality.
*Personally* I don't carry much in the back of my Saabs - their days of lots of people and cargo are over, so the tendency to rub isn't a big deal. I like the look, and I'm not willing to give up tread width and sidewall.
That said, I've not had a big problem finding 4x108 in 16x7 and 17x7 in good 38-42mm offsets and tire selection for bigger wheels is much, much better. IMHO, a 16x7 with a 215/50 or a 17x7 with a 215/45, either with a 38mm or 40mm offset is a great setup on a c900... although the 17x7 may look goofy without lowering springs.
