Hey All,
This is my first post after a few years of viewing the forums.
Unfortunately the reason I'm posting is to get the community's opinion on the situation I'm in with my 1984 900 base model. I've recently had a lot of work done (rebuilt automatic transmission, new steering rack, new tires, alternator, front lower control arms, all new exhaust, new wires, plugs etc). After a check on something, the shop let me know that it's unsafe to drive due to the new front lower control arms pushing through the frame due to rust. Even if I decided to repair the failing rusted frame, I'm based out of Portland, OR so I don't think there are going to be any body shops that will take on the work. I'd hate to junk the car, it only has 72k miles, interior is in pristine condition, and the paint is in excellent condition. Not to mention the under warranty rebuild tranny.
Just wanted to get some opinions on what I should do...or what you would do in my situation.
Thanks in advanced.
