Thank you for posting at TSN!
The B201 NA to B202 turbocharged engine/transmission swap is common and there are several advantages to the 1992 design. The 1992 transmission will employ an improved pinion bearing design, as well as other updates, over the earlier pre 1990 applications.
The B202 engine design has been more desirable due to the advantages in performance and longevity but the change would require some efforts.
The motor mounts for the 1992 engine are hydraulic at all 3 locations. Removal of the original 1984 side motor mounts could be installed onto the 1992 engine. The 1984 front motor mount could be retained by installing the 1984 transmission primary drive cover with mount onto the 1992 transmission.
The 1992 transmission cups are a larger design than the 1984 type and you could install the original 1984 driver cups onto the 1992 transmission.
Wiring could take some efforts but many customers opt to install the 1992 LH engine management, ignition system, plus APC control over the earlier model 900.
This could be an exciting project but take some patience if installing for the 1st time!
Best of luck and regards!,
