Some fairly thin sheet aluminum. I made a filter-sized plate with the center cut out (to pass air) and bent the edges at a right angle for rigidity. I secured the bracket to a thicker piece of aluminum that is a cover for the hole. I'll try and get a different picture this evening.

I have been running without a filter for a decade, and I'm just sick and tired of the cabin fan sucking up leaves. I should have spent the five minutes it took to find this filter years ago. I thought it was going to be a bigger battle, but this '13 Fusion filter is *perfect*.
