Puzzling out disordered wiring

Long story short, the wiring to the ignition and fuel pump have been mucked with. Long, long ago (after the ignition switch broke) a friend put in a contact switch and an off/on switch. That worked, but more recently someone else undid that, tried something else (which didn't work) and left me trying to translate the information in Bentley's into physical connections. It's slow slogging.
First, where does the wire with the spade connector on the starter connect?
Next, there's the thick white hot wire going into the passenger side. The wiring diagram looks like it goes to the 29-pole connector 152A, yet it's coming into the passenger compartment and, at one time, was connected to three improvised wires, one of which connected to an on/off toggle. What those wires in turn connected to, I don't know.
Separately, there's a momentary switch connected on one side to the red/yellow (50) starter motor wire. I think it wants to connect to the gray (30) positive wire to the block, but I'm not sure how it connects up with the other switch.
More questions to come, I'm sure, but at least this would be a start...
Thanks in advance for your help.
