I have a mostly complete list of the 288 original / authentic Springtime in Sweden Editions. After the production run, USA SAAB Dealers were invited to a meeting in Sweden where all 288 were kept behind a curtain and later revealed to the dealers.
I can assure you this particular car is absolutely one of the 284 5 speeds that were produced. I have seen this car in person and I have the complete history of this car in a database. I am no authority on the valuation, I believe a car is worth, whatever an individual is willing to pay for it. Having said that, if ever a SiS was worth 32k, this is the one. The mileage is accurate, it is original, it has been well preserved and when I viewed it, all of the special dealer gifts that originally came with all 288 of the Springtime in Sweden Editions were still with this car --- I do not know of a single other SiS that can make this claim.
In reference to the leather shift boot, all 284 SiS 5 speed editions produced were indeed fitted with a leather shift boot, as were all of the 5 different special and limited run 1988 edition c900 models produced for non-USA markets. The 1988 SPG models were also fitted with a leather shift boot.
