'86 pulley won't work, need '89/90 b202 n/t or '91-94 b212 Posted by walt [Email] (#2707) [Profile/Gallery] (more from walt) on Wed, 13 Feb 2019 07:21:34 In Reply to: 1993 900S crank pulley, t, Tue, 12 Feb 2019 10:55:33 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
saab p/n for pulley you need is 8789315. Earlier pulleys lack recessed, machined engine-side surface and three holes for aperture disc. Possible source for used 8789315 pulley is ebay, or a wanted ad on this site. Pulley bolt requires a 27mm (1-1/16 inch) cut down 6-point socket with breaker bar and cheater pipe. A flywheel lock makes holding crankshaft a lot easier. Don't forget to reinstall loose 1/2-inch thick spacer beneath the captive thick washer on pulley bolt. If omitted, the bolt bottoms, pulley stays loose until it rips woodruff key out of crankshaft nose, requiring extensive, expensive crankshaft repair.
