200k, trans was rebuilt a few years ago according to previous owner. I pulled the dipstick and it smells like gear oil in there, is that right?
Here is the rebuild spec:
"The pinion bearrings that I use are a branded most likely made in germany brand I cannot remember the make of bearring I used but I never use china bearrings. The trans as I remember up to 89 had the same pinion bearring for the front and rear on the pinion shaft but then after 89 they used a slighlty bigger bearring on the weak side to help with the chronic weakness that had existed. To be honest I cannot remember if the trans in that car was of the new vintage. If the trans has the centering spring built into the trans then it would have the heavier bearrings. If that is the original trans then it would not.sorry cant remember."
