Been driving an 89 900 for nearly a week and had a few weird things pop up--wonder if they're connected. In chronological order. None of these things have happened repeatedly but enough over a week for me to think something's up.
1. Shifted up a gear, then rpms quickly dropped.---Recovered after I gave it gas. Drove fine.
2. Next day---idled at 1500 rpms---shut it off--restart, hasn't happened since.
3. Two days later--idled (transmission in neutral) after initial start-up--for about a minute or two--car stalled out--restarted, then fine.
4. Earlier today---similar to first event--shift into 3rd gear, rpms dropped, car shook--not sure what I did but nothing else happened again on the drive home.
The high idle made me wonder if it was a stuck open throttle switch but nothing with the idle has happened since. Checked for vacuum leaks--nothing that I can see. Kind of hard to diagnose when something randomly pops up. Could it be a sign of a fuel pump or ignition switch or crank position sensor on the way out?
