I had the same problem yesterday on a 1990. It had brand new vacuum lines on it.I decided to go ahead and replace them anyway.I don't know that it makes any difference but the one that comes off of the distributor I connected up by the throttle body plate instead of further back on the intake manifold. I had had this erratic idle for the last several months. I had taking all the turbo piping off redone hoses nothing seem to fix it. Air mass meter air idle control valve all those things checked out to be okay. Until I re-did all the vacuum lines yesterday we couldn't get it to go away. Good luck. Definitely check your one-way check valves make sure there not leaking themselves internally. Vacuum leaks can be a pain in the butt.
