Cleaning the lower engine compartment- What a Mess! Posted by Matt Grimes [Email] (#2198) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Matt Grimes) on Sun, 28 Apr 2019 19:49:15 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I had no idea that beneath all those turbo pipes and coolant hoses the lower part of my engine/tranny and engine compartment was absolutely covered with oily nasty thick gunk.
What a huge PITA it has been scraping and cleaning it up. But...I am almost done and it is SO NICE to have a clean engine/tranny, frame, and inner fenders.
This was obviously the previous owners fault but what in the world would have caused such a massive accumulation of oily gunk? I would just as soon avoid any kind of repeat.
