Nearly all USA market SAAB 900 Turbo models prior to 1994 employ the APC(Electronic boost pressure control) which typically targets 11-12 psi charging pressures, dependent on the APC control unit and based on this system working optimally. This pressure should appear as the 9/10th yellow or very early red on the dashboard's Turbo/APC gauge when the engine sees full load(Under acceleration). The APC boost pressure should also drop to base boost pressure(7 PSI/mid yellow on APC gauge) when this system is not functioning properly or has been disconnected.
