What year is your car? The early-mid 80's cars had a 2 wire switch n the console. Te body harness was 2 wires with a female blade connectors. The overhead light was mounted in the roof above the driver's left ear. That light also had a switch built into it. From mid 80's on the light was centered in the roof and the console had a 3 wire switch. That body harness has a 3 wire molded female plug. The console plate has a rectangle hole for the early two wire switch. The hole is about 1" by 3/8". The 3 wire switch console plate has a larger rounded hole. There is a cross over around 86 where the the console has the rounded hole switch, the side mounted light with a switch and the body harness has a molded 2 wire plug.
