The bumpers for the 3-door and 5-door have a slight cutout in the front top lip to accommodate flat loading and the taillights. The sedan and convertible rear bumpers don't have the cutout.
You can put a 3-door bumper on a secan or convertible, but you can't do the reverse without cutting the bumper (unless somebody already did it to the bumper or the factory had more 3-door bumpers than 4-door bumpers on hand the day the car was put together.)
