I had to drop the lower dash panel (knee panel) and decided it would be easier to access the bolt by getting all the wires out of the way behind the fuse box on the firewall side. To my HORROR the insulation on about half of the wires just started crumbling and falling off. I guess this is fairly common on certain years, but I was just wondering if there is anything that can be done to salvage the naked wires. Seems like the farther I got into them, the more stuff crumbled off. So I wrapped what I could, but geeze - that looks like trouble!
