I haven't tried it, but I've spent time recently on the center console (removing factory equalizer and installing a cubby above factory gauge panel) and can't see any reason why it wouldn't be soup. Wiring would need to be rerouted and, possibly, the antenna cable might need to be modified/lengthened?
You could then put an OEM, single DIN cubby in the vacated spot on the dash, to hold your phone/sunglasses or whatever in a very convenient spot.
