How about that, looks like an afterthought. My Saab factory wiring manual for '87 and '88 900's shows that fuse 12 is for the CV top but on that page makes no mention that it's shared with the seat heaters. Same on the page for the heated seats, no mention of 12 as top fuse. The circuits are entirely shared (so identical in both diagrams) up to a two pole connector (#60) that's tucked under the center console where a single brown wire continues on for the top system. That connector also provides a wire to power the delayed interior lights relay. I just happen to have an '88 CV here with all the interior removed so I actually confirmed all of this. On page 14 of the book where the fuse application list is it shows #12 as being only for the heated seats and "delayed interior lights". My '91,'92 book shows very different circuits with none using fuse #12 and that fuse listed as "Spare".
