The indicator light connections all come thru the two white connectors that attach to the instrument cluster (one on each side). May be the bulb holders were "bumped" during re installation and need to be twisted a little to get reconnected, could also be the flasher relay under the knee bolster, on left side of steering column, as that affects both to directional indicators and the hazard lights. May want to check the ground wire from the turn signal stalk that attaches to the steering column just below the steering wheel as that causes the same symptoms. 1st of all check your fuses, all of them, Saab electrical systems run through many fuses that are not marked as controlling those systems.
