It appears that my previous suggestions are off base. You'd have real trouble but wouldn't get a total loss of power from any of those.
A better suggestion is to check the condition of the wires and terminal connections related to the positive terminal block on the passenger side inner fender. It's a small black box (the lid is often missing) with two studs. There is a large red wire from the battery positive terminal to that terminal block and one of the large gray wires also on that block directly feeds the ignition switch. If either of those wires is loose that could cause your problem.
