Excellent. already in progress. Cut out section from shifter to drivers side door sill and replaced it with an used one off my donor car. Noted, over the years, that most of the drivers side are cracked on the outboard side of drivers area. The replacement was also cracked in front of the outboard bolt hole, which has been repaired by the welder. He also installed a sleeve inside the replacement that slides into the passenger side for extra support at the joint. Noticed that SAAB factory welders or robots had the heat a little high as it burned through the body where it was welded at the center forward side and it was cracked at the base of fillet weld. Which go me to looking here and there and found that the gusset plate (supporting the cargo deck over the spare tire on drivers side) welds were busted, not cracked. Car doesn't have any indication it was in an accident so will chalk it up to the stiffness of the car body. Thanks for the input.
