Radio powers down/back up when headlights switched on.

I’m installing a Continental TR7412UB-OR radio and it’s all going well but for one curious issue that I hope you can help me sort out.
The radio is wired up correctly. I’ve followed the color codes as noted here in several posts, the Bentley, and the radio’s install guide.
The issue:
Headlight switched off. Key in ignition. Turn key to park position, radio powers up, and antenna extends. Radio operates normally. Headlights switched ON, turn key to running position. Headlights come on, radio powers down, antenna retracts. One second later the radio powers back up and antenna extends. Radio operates normally after the restart. Headlights do not dim or go out.
Sequences tested:
Headlights switched OFF. Key in ignition. Turn key to park position, radio powers up, and antenna extends. Radio operates normally. No power down and back up issue.
Headlights switched to ON. Key in ignition. Turn key to park position, radio powers on, and antenna extends. Radio operates normally. Turn key to running position, headlights come on, radio operates as normal. No power down and back up issue.
Additional details:
I’m using one of the three available ground wires found in the chassis side power harness to radio.
Radio button lights react to dash light rheostat. No issues there.
Thank you for your assistance.
