‘92 AC receiver dryer replacement Posted by Ken [Email] (#2113) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Ken) on Wed, 2 Jun 2021 16:12:26 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I see the receiver/dryer inside the front fender. I can assume I need to remove the turn signal cluster to get at it but will the headlight also need to be pulled? Every time I’ve done that in the past, the plastic stud clips disintegrate.
I intend to replace the lines connecting to the compressor and as well as the expansion valve too. I then want to pull all the connections and replace the O-rings.
Mechanic addded R134 with dye but it soon peed away and green dye was all over the main hose set. The compressor worked, so hopefully changing lines, receiver, expansion valve and o-rings should do the trick. Then I’ll have an AC shop pull a vacuum and charge the system properly not my mechanic…
