If I remember correctly you need to run a new wire down to the latch. you have to take the whole leather or fabric up so you can see to do that. It's best if you can take the seat out of the car put it up on a workbench and you'll see what I'm talking about if you have leather or fabric I believe they just unzip and you lift up.you can see the latch that lifts with the help of that wire. It's pretty much major surgery. Good luck hope that helps.
