Everything about this is discontinued by Saab. Assuming the issue is electrical (the sensor) and not physical (the bracket, housing, or aperture disk) you can buy the sensor itself from various electronics components sources. The sensor you need is a Honeywell 4AVxxF, where "xx" is a two digit number that represents the length of the wires attached. The number doesn't matter. 4AV19F is generally available right now. Check Newark:
https://www.newark.com/honeywell/4av19f/hall-effect-vane-sensor/dp/16M3103
They had 50 of these last week, so they are going fast. It can be months between shipments. Tell your mechanic to buy all of them. :) You could also check Mouser and Digikey.
Also check ebay - there is an old saabnet user who sells these sensors that way.
Installing the sensor is a small amount of work - a couple screws, splicing three wires, some insulation. USE A SMALL AMOUNT OF THREADLOCK ON THE SCREWS THAT HOLD THE BRACKET. If they back out the bracket will get trashed and then you're totally hosed.
