Greetings All,
I'm new to this platform, and I'm not sure if this message box is for individual threads or for my original post.
I want to thank everyone-Jimmy, Ko, and Bob-for responding.
.
Bob, before you posted, I contacted one of the PA installers about rust restoration in general, and he referred me to a company that does welding repair. I just got back, and the welder told me that it would cost a minimum of $5000.00 (could go up to $10,000) once he starts pulling things apart) to repair the rust. I talked to 3 people so far, and they all said the car is not worth repairing.
The car runs well (I visited 2 of the specialists and drove over 2 hours/specialist to meet them.). It has 212,6?? miles, and it's a 5-speed.
It will not pass state inspection because of the rust (it did pass emissions).
I joined this platform hoping to save my car, but if I cannot, what are the best ways to dispose of it (maybe this should be another post)?
Best regards.
