Besides your normal run of metric tools, and saab doesn't require much special at all in that department I personally get a lot of value from these more special items:
- Motive Power Bleeder. Use it for the clutch, brakes, testing the cooling system, whatever.
- A 2 Inch PVC cap with a air chuck attached. Replace your AMM and test for leaks with it.
- A set of A ARM holders. Buy once and never forget.
- A good quality 32MM socket for the hubs
- A Spacer ring for the clutch, and if you can find it, a clutch tool.
- A filed down socket to remove the tri-tip security bolts holding the shifter/key mechanism
- A hook for grabbing the lever to unstick hoods. build one before it gets stuck and you'll have little trouble your wire breaks it does.
- CV boot crimpers and extra crimp cables. The CV boot stash I have came with crappy ties, same for my steering rack. Having these is essential and easy to keep on hand
- Spare 2 pin connectors, a crimp set, heat gun, tubing, soldering iron, etc. My 88 wiring has fallen apart, and my 90 is starting to age. Being able to fix wiring on the fly is essential.
Do you not need a fuel pump ring remover. I just used a screw driver, or a big wrench.
