I've salvaged a couple dozen black brackets without breakage. There are a couple flat ledges on the rear of the headlight body. I use them to support and lever a prybar. I carefully locate the tip of the bar where the 3 ball end studs come out of the bottom of the bracket. Then give a quick upward motion to the pryer. I've never broken the bracket or the adjuster. And I'm in toasty Calif where the heat can do a job on plastic and rubber. Bernie's method is no doubt safer but I can't use a Dremel when I'm at PicknPull.
