Transmission Matchmaking 1 Saabers Like This Post! Posted by PaulS [Email] (#676) [Profile/Gallery] (more from PaulS) on Tue, 31 Oct 2023 12:34:04 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Hello everyone,
I have a friend who has been breaking (apart) Saabs in Delaware for a long time and is now drastically downsizing his shop. He has pallets of classic 900 5-speeds.
I have another friend who rebuilds Saab transmissions and is out in Colorado. Regular readers of this forum know him for his wealth of Saab transmission knowledge.
I would like to make a match so that the transmissions in Delaware can make their ways to Colorado. The biggest issue is the friend in Colorado does not have the upfront capital to make this happen.
I am hoping the Saabnet community can help. I considered something like a KickStarter but we can't all flood the transmission rebuilder with requests all at once because he is a one man shop and has limited capacity.
Would folks consider paying for a rebuild even if took a while to get it in their hands? Are there other ideas I am not thinking about?
Memo to Scott: If this is too much like a classified ad I am willing to pay for the ad.
Thanks all
