I also stripped all the trim form the car so that the shop only had to focus on painting the car. Furthermore, I got it done near the beginning of the pandemic in 2020. As such, I got a killer deal because with reduced traffic there were fewer accidents and the body shops were desperate for work (most were taking the government stipends to keep workers on board). I'd expect that you'd have to pay $5K for the same job today. I'm in the Washington, DC area and autobody work is pricey.
