Had a temp sender/gauge on mine as well - a 0-100°F model like this one (a link to a front pic of the gauge I have): https://drive.google.com/file/d/1tRG30WJ14C7uO4kZuadD1Ffx-bLFli4t/view
And here's a link to the rest of the parts library project I've been working if you need a better idea of what some other part looks like: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1F7gtiF_VQhMVv52ovdQC5TQHFcFFlb2B?usp=sharing
Looking at my disassembly pics from two years ago, it looks very-much like a single-pole temp sender like the coolant temp sensor on the cylinder head. I remember it had a green wire that ran to it straight from the gauge, thru a grommet below the brake line pass-thru on the firewall (I believe with the oil pressure sender wire as well). I have absolutely no clue where I put it though, and I'd give you the part number off of it if I could find the blasted thing! Sorry I can't produce more info on it. I do know the gauge itself has the ability to adjust, but don't know by how much and if could work with a generic temp sender.
