Good that the floor is dry.

The windshield seal is a big unwieldy thing that may just not have been installed with care but if it's dry in the gap shown in your picture I don't think it matters. I highly doubt the glass is misshapen. If the aesthetics of the gap are bothersome, you could try cleaning the glass and the rubber seal gap surface incredibly well, finishing with iso alcohol, then try a silicone adhesive, wedging the seal to press it against the glass while the silicone cures. Might be more work than it's worth though and I find that even small amounts of errant silicone on glass seem to stand out. All this said, the 1989 with the exposed scupper mentioned earlier has a rotted driver side floor, where the floor turns uphill toward the pedals and firewall. Water looks to have collected behind the floor, held there by the tar sealant, and corrosion happened. I have put off a thorough investigation but I suspect the windshield seal has been leaking and water somehow made it into the space covered by the tar. I'm not positive, but I can't think of any other path. As a side note, the 1989 quality issues all seem to be body related. The scupper-hole floor rust was particularly disappointing, but the larger issue is the paint was laid down too thin and the roof has degraded, rust is coming through on the underside of the rain gutters by the top of the doors, and the hood is rusting where it latches to the body by the windshield. This car doesn't live in a salted part of the world. Oh, and the panel gaps at the hatch are comically off so much that someone asked if there was something wrong with it. Maybe I'll get round to seeing if the hinges can be adjusted but the whole hatch is heavy. Still a great car, just not built when Saab had more confidence. It came from a Swedish factory not Finnish.
