Everything is getting hard to find these days.
I was looking for alternator belts. The correct part is Continental AVX10x990(set). Essentially all online sites, if you shop by car will list AVX10x975. The 975's are too short. They are a PITA to put on and very difficult to remove. I ended up doing a job twice and had to remove the water pump pulley to get the belts off.
Rockauto was selling a part listed as Continental AVX10x990. (but not a matched pair). I ordered several thinking I would match them up and make my own fitted pair. I am accustomed to Continental parts in an orange and black sleeve and made in Europe. What showed up was a generic looking sleeve and made in Mexico. The Mexican belts are the correct diameter but they look like "American car" belt and are not as narrow as the European belts and do not slip as deep into the pulley.
They seem to work OK. I have 100 miles on the belts with no issues. Also, I ordered 8 belts thinking I would have to fuss with them to get a pair the same exact size. I picked two at random and they are a good enough match with no fussing.
