For those who are interested in venturing outside the world of Saab OEM wheels for the C900, the Ford Fox-body platform has a selection of interesting wheel styles that, taste permitting, seem to fit the 900, and given their 4x108 bolt pattern, seem a logical choice. I've acquired and modified a set of 15x7 turbine-style wheels from a late 80s Mustang to fit my 900, and if anyone else is curious, these are the modifications I needed to make in order to make them fit:
Wheel bolts: The stock 900 bolts are too wide for the holes in the Mustang wheel, and I had to get a set of aftermarket wheel bolts with a narrower seat but still retained the correct taper and length
Hub: The Mustang hub is about a millimeter narrower than the 900's hub, and required the wheels to be bored out to fit. Mine turned out with center bores wider than the hub, but since the wheels have tapered seats, the wheels don't need to be hubcentric to center properly, so long as the wheels are tightened off the ground.
Brake clearance: The front brakes of the 900 stick out just enough to interfere with the Fox turbine wheels, so I had to install a 6 mm (1/4" spacer) on the fronts for clearance. The back brakes are fine. Other wheels with a different spoke design may not have this issue.
Offset: The offset on the Mustang wheels is somewhat lower than the stock 900 wheels, but with 195 width tires, there are no rubbing issues.
Taste is subjective, but personally I think these wheels, especially in gold with an unpainted lip, make for a striking combination with the 900's sharp lines.
