See my lament on belts a couple of days ago.

The "correct" fuel filters are also getting hard to find.

The correct fuel filter for a 8V car should be Bosch 0 450 905 401 (AKA F 5401). No one has them any more. I found a NOS one on ebay.

The correct fuel filter for a 16V car should be Bosch 0 450 905 200 (AKA 71005). They are also hard to find. I ordered what was supposed to the correct filter. What I received was 77010WS (AKA F 00E 164 437). I can confirm the 437 is not correct. It has the correct fittings but the flow is backwards. (Of course I did not realize this until the car was on jack stands and I had already removed the old one!)

I ordered some a day ago. The picture on the web site was the 450 905 200 which is correct. What arrived was 0 450 905 601 (AKA F 5601). Can anyone confirm the 601 is an appropriate replacement?
