I have a 1993 turbo conv. Both of these units are pretty useless these days.
The amp radio and speakers are pretty decent in the car still. The 3 door may be different.

What I did was to put a 3.5mm jack in the loop the radio does down through the EQ and kept the Clarion radio/amp/speakers. It is one of jacks that has a built in switchover. When I plug the cellphone in it switches over and plays spotify. I did disconnect the CD changer in the trunk too that never really worked very well.

Do not miss the EQ at all! 1990s meets 2020s.
