Yes it's possible. You're 1986 S car already has a 16 valve engine LH injection so you're at least halfway there. Bear in mind that the NA engines had flat top pistons and a higher static compression ratio than the turbocharged engine so you need to build in a way to prevent detonation under boost. That could be water injection or something similar or you could just swap in a turbo engine and APC system. There are numerous peripheral differences, particularly intake, exhaust and injection components, and you could streamline the process of obtaining all those parts by having a donor turbo car on hand. The wiring harness should be compatible with the turbo powerplant. It's not difficult or complicated just a matter of whether you want to do it the way the factory did or take some alternate approach.
