Hello,
I have changed hundreds if not over a thousand thermostats over the years. I've only had a bolt break a few times, I would say failure is way less than 1 percent. If you have been spraying that is good. I might take a flat punch and give one good whack to the top of the bolt head to send some vibrations through it which may help, that is what I often due with lots of bolts I feel might be really stuck. And I am in western Pennsylvania so salt and rust is plentiful here. Good Luck, Bernie
