Before you plunk down the cash, check the stuff that can ruin a car, like the rear shock mounts, and extensive rust anywhere. A good powertrain warranty can be useless if the body is crapping out. I just got rid of a very rusty 1895 900t that had a very strong and powerfull engine. The rust wasn't readily noticable and then all of a sudden the rear shocks popped through and the front fender wells where the suspension comes through to the wheels was (always) thin and crumpled, but had gotten worse in the last few months. New England winters are not easy on a car and outward appearance of this car was exceptional good for it's age, but the rust was working it's way from deep within. The fine print should detail how they would treat you if the rest of the car died prior to the five year deal. I'd be suspicious.
