If you want your car to be original ask for a two-stage paint job of polyurethane base/clear coat. Make sure they use Sikkens brand paint in Edwardian Grey 158B. The part that bothers me is the removal of the SPG panels. Unless they have experience and can put them back on exactly as stock your may never be the same.
I had some paint and body work done on my '86 SPG. The shop that did the work is a factory authorized SAAB bodyshop. For a basic two-stage paint job with no body work they charge $5,000.
