I use amsoil universal atf and change it every 30K miles....I also have the trans serviced at an indie saab shop, costs about $100 and I supply about $40 worth of ATF.

Cheap considering the last trans lasted about 100K and I didn't do this even though it had amsoil atf in it from when I bought it. Who knows what the PO did.

Also, as I jacked up the apc/turbo to about 18psi and bigger injectors, bigger fpr, etc., more horsepower isn't helping at longevity. If you take care of your n/a automatic it should last for over 200k. BTW, most of the problems seem to be with varnished/dirty governors and leaking seals...the amsoil atf or even mobil synthetic atf should go a long ways towards making the trans live.
