1. Make sure you have the "good" washers and drain plug - SAAB part numbers 87-28-057 and 87-31-762. You probably don't - I didn't. These are a much improved design - combines rubber and steel to make a good seal.
2. Look at oil filter seal and, just above the filter, the oil pressure switch. Mine leaked because some yahoo put in the Ford part instead of the correct one. Someone else also recommends looking at the gasket the filter adapter seals with.
3. Valve cover gasket. Mine is just weeping there but is on my list.
That's the end of the easy list. The others are harder. Are you sure it is oil? Might be power steering fluid - tighten the supply and return rubber hoses at both ends - mine leaked at the reservoir connection. Or it could be brake fluid from either a brake line or (more likely) worn out clutch components (mine was the slave cylinder). If you are sure it is oil, then -
4. Front crankshaft seal and oil pump seal - unless you are real handy I would pay someone $200 to do these. I did.
If it still leaks then scratch your head like I am doing now and ask yourself,"If I wanted a clean garage floor why did I ever buy a SAAB?".
